There’s no possibility of any diplomatic crisis: Law minister

Law Minister Advocate Anisul Haque said "There is no possibility of any diplomatic crisis with some countries after the election, as some had expressed concerns about it."

On Monday, he held talks with India's High Commissioner to Bangladesh Pranay Kumar Verma at the Secretariat.

When asked about the diplomatic crisis that was speculated upon and whether it still exists with certain countries, the minister responded, "I won't use the term 'crisis.' There was a concern in your minds, and I'll say that there could have been a diplomatic issue. But after the election, you have also seen that there is no possibility of such diplomatic problems."

In response to another question, the law minister said, "In the context of neighboring countries, the application of law, and the clarification of legal provisions in the areas where there is development partnership, it is always necessary. The legal framework, some of which have been in place for a long time, and the changes that have taken place in India, are there possibilities for similar changes in Bangladesh, and what changes have occurred in Bangladesh's laws, whether those are possible in India, these discussions always take place, and they have happened today as well."
