The National Citizen Party (NCP) convener Md. Nahid Islam welcomed the International Crimes Tribunal’s verdict against Sheikh Hasina, calling it a milestone in Bangladesh’s judicial history. Speaking at a press conference in Dhaka’s Banglamotor on Monday (November 17), he said the ruling delivers justice for the abductions, killings, and human rights violations during Hasina’s 16-year tenure, including crimes committed during the July uprising. He added that the death sentence against Hasina marks a historic day and reiterated his personal commitment to seeking justice for his brother, Abu Sayed, who was killed on July 16.

এনসিপির সমন্বয়ক মো. নাহিদ ইসলাম আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালের শেখ হাসিনার বিরুদ্ধে দেওয়া রায়কে স্বাগত জানান এবং এটিকে বাংলাদেশের বিচার ব্যবস্থার ইতিহাসে এক মাইলফলক হিসেবে অভিহিত করেন। সোমবার (১৭ নভেম্বর) ঢাকার বাংলামটরে এক সংবাদ সম্মেলনে তিনি বলেন, 'এই রায় শেখ হাসিনার ১৬ বছরের শাসনকালে সংঘটিত অপহরণ, হত্যা এবং মানবাধিকার লঙ্ঘনের বিচার দিয়েছে, বিশেষ করে জুলাই গণঅভ্যুত্থানের সময় করা অপরাধগুলোর।’ তিনি আরও বলেন, শেখ হাসিনার মৃত্যুদণ্ডের রায় একটি ঐতিহাসিক দিন চিহ্নিত করেছে এবং ব্যক্তিগতভাবে তার ভাই আবু সায়েদের হত্যার ন্যায়বিচার নিশ্চিত করার প্রতিশ্রুতি পুনরায় জানান।
