Three more prosecutors appointed to International Crimes Tribunal

The government has appointed three Supreme Court lawyers as prosecutors to conduct cases at the International Crimes Tribunal. The Law Ministry's Solicitor Wing issued a notification regarding the appointments on Tuesday, May 12.

The newly appointed prosecutors are Md Magfur Rahman Sheikh, Mohammad Ali Mia, and Barrister Rafiul Islam.

According to the notification, Magfur Rahman Sheikh has been appointed as a prosecutor with the rank of Deputy Attorney General, while Mohammad Ali Mia and Barrister Rafiul Islam have been appointed with the rank of Assistant Attorney General.

Earlier on March 9, Supreme Court lawyers Marjina Raihan Madina and Zahirul Amin were appointed to the same positions. With the three new appointments, the prosecution team now has 19 members.
