Three service chiefs pay courtesy call on newly elected President

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has held a meeting with the heads of the three armed forces.

The meeting took place at Bangabhaban on Tuesday, August 25, with Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Khondkar Misbah-ul-Azim, and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan in attendance.

During the meeting, the service chiefs conveyed their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the President on his assumption of office. They briefed the President on various activities of their respective forces and sought his guidance and cooperation in his capacity as the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed satisfaction with the activities of the armed forces and said the current government is working to transform them into a modern, four-dimensional force.

The President assured the three service chiefs of his continued maximum cooperation in enhancing the professional skills of force members, as well as in the overall development of the armed forces during his tenure.
