Thunderstorms likely for 4 days

Bangladesh Meteorological Department has said that thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds are likely to occur in different parts of the country for the next four days. At the same time, the ongoing heat wave is likely to remain almost unchanged, the forecast has said.

According to the forecast, there is a possibility of temporary rain and thunderstorms in different parts of the country until Saturday. Although the daytime temperature may decrease slightly, the night temperature may remain almost unchanged.

The Meteorological Department said that the extension of the low pressure is located in West Bengal and the surrounding areas and the normal low pressure of the season is active in the south Bay of Bengal.

Thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds are likely to occur in some areas of Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and in some places of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Dhaka and Chittagong divisions on Wednesday. Similar weather conditions are likely to prevail in different parts of the country on Thursday and Friday as well.

Thunderstorms are expected in some areas of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and some places in Chittagong division on Saturday.
