A total of 13,906 vehicles crossed the Jamuna Bridge on the holy Eid-ul-Fitr day, with toll collection amounting to Tk 61,01,400. Jamuna Bridge Executive Engineer Syed Riaz Uddin confirmed this information to the media around 11:00 am on Sunday, March 22. He said on Eid day, 7,786 vehicles entered the northern region through the eastern end of the bridge. A total of Tk 33,56,600 was collected at nine toll booths on this side. During the same period, 6,120 vehicles travelled from the northern region through the western end, with Tk 27,44,800 collected at nine booths. The Executive Engineer further informed that approximately 180,000 vehicles have crossed the Jamuna Bridge over the past four days of Eid travel, with total toll collection exceeding Tk 13 crore.

পবিত্র ঈদুল ফিতরের দিনে যমুনা সেতু দিয়ে মোট ১৩ হাজার ৯০৬টি যানবাহন পারাপার হয় এবং ৬১ লাখ ১ হাজার ৪০০ টাকার টোল আদায় করা হয়েছে। রোববার (২২ মার্চ) বেলা ১১টার দিকে যমুনা সেতুর নির্বাহী প্রকৌশলী সৈয়দ রিয়াজ উদ্দিন গণমাধ্যমকে এ তথ্য নিশ্চিত করেন। তিনি জানান, ঈদের দিনে সেতুর পূর্ব প্রান্ত দিয়ে উত্তরাঞ্চলের দিকে প্রবেশ করেছে ৭ হাজার ৭৮৬টি যানবাহন। এই পথে ৯টি টোল বুথে মোট ৩৩ লাখ ৫৬ হাজার ৬০০ টাকা আদায় হয়েছে। একই সময়ে পশ্চিম প্রান্ত দিয়ে উত্তরাঞ্চল থেকে যাত্রা করেছে ৬ হাজার ১২০টি যানবাহন। এতে ৯টি বুথে ২৭ লাখ ৪৪ হাজার ৮০০ টাকা টোল সংগ্রহ করা হয়েছে। নির্বাহী প্রকৌশলী আরও জানিয়েছেন, গত চার দিনের ঈদযাত্রায় যমুনা সেতু দিয়ে প্রায় ১ লাখ ৮০ হাজার যানবাহন পারাপার হয়েছে। এই সময়ে মোট টোল আদায় হয়েছে ১৩ কোটি টাকারও বেশি।
