Top leaders of 11-party alliance holds emergency meeting

Top leaders of the 11-party alliance led by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami are holding an emergency meeting to discuss the country's current political situation and pressing national issues. The meeting began at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 7, at the Al-Falah auditorium in Magbazar, capital.

Coordinator of the 11-party alliance and former MP Dr A H M Hamidur Rahman Azad confirmed the matter.

He said the meeting is focusing on two main issues: first, demanding the immediate convening of the Constitutional Reform Council session to implement public opinion received through the referendum; second, demanding effective measures to resolve the severe fuel crisis in the country.

The decisions of the meeting and the alliance's future course of action will be detailed at a press conference at the Al-Falah auditorium at noon. Top leaders of the 11-party alliance will be present.
