Who is operating BCB from behind
In the cricket field and outside the field, so many non-cricketing activities have been going on over the past few months that it is not only unacceptable but downright condemnable. This is a matter of concern for the future of the country’s cricket. Those who are playing games centring cricket, muddying the waters, those who are fuelling it, have assumed that now is the time to achieve their ulterior motives because such an opportunity may not come again in the future. A storm is engulfing the game of cricket. Some particular men are now more important in cricket than the game itself. Arbitrary practices are increasing in cricket. Deception, disrespect, humiliation and shameful roles are on the rise. The actors are lengthening the cricket ‘documentary’ day by day. Those who are making tall talks about cricket recklessly for personal gain, immersing themselves in hostile opposition, are not doing the right thing. Now it is necessary for everyone to unite in the interest of the country’s cricket.
Chess of potential, chess of despair
Divya Deshmukh sowed the seeds of dreams for many aspiring Indian chess players at Batumi in Georgia. At the age of 19, she became the first Indian woman to win the FIDE World Cup. Born at Nagpur in Maharashtra, she also received the Grandmaster (GM) title along with the World Cup. She is the fourth woman to become a GM in India. The total number of GMs stands at 88 including both men and women.

The moment the name Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed is uttered, the image of a teacher, poet, fiction writer, organiser, environmental activist, and television personality floats before us. Many of his speeches have gone viral on social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube—speeches that are extraordinarily educational and profoundly insightful. When he speaks, everyone listens in awe. As if he speaks, and the rest simply listen. His words are full of reflection and analysis; he captivates us in an astonishingly magical language.
Commercial cinema suffocates while alternative films struggle for viewers
During a professional conversation with filmmaker Kazi Hayat, he remarked that different types of films would always exist in the industry—some would attract massive audiences, while others would represent the country abroad and win awards. This explanation cleared a long-standing dilemma in my mind. While alternative films may amass awards, they rarely draw large audiences to theaters.
Why the "No Page Tearing" graffiti is causing uproar?
Sometimes it feels as if the country has become like a land of anarchy. No one understands when, who, why, or how something happens. It seems it's a country where anyone can do anything here. A page that carried messages of harmony and goodwill led to turmoil, and in the ensuing clashes, 33 people were injured. Such an incident could likely only happen in Bangladesh, because this nation has seemingly lost its sense of reason and logical judgment. Especially some groups are constantly trying to exploit the situation for their own gain. Otherwise, this event cannot be explained in any other way.

On television and social media, they have expressed their grief over the loss of everything they had.
Jatiya Party Office Fire: What signals do the act convey?
The Jatiya Party serves as a significant case study in Bangladeshi politics—simultaneously being part of the government and the opposition, thus giving rise to the concept of a "government-opposing" party. Since the ninth national parliamentary elections in 2008, they have enjoyed various privileges as a partner in power. Recently, they have been labeled as "accomplices of autocrats" by the anti-discrimination student movement.
