Traffic will be restricted on the Evercare Hospital-Sangsad Bhaban route: DMP

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has said that traffic will be restricted on the relevant roads during the movement of the convoy carrying the body from Evercare Hospital to the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban for the funeral prayers of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Deputy Police Commissioner of the Media and Public Relations Department of the DMP, Talebur Rahman Muhammad, said in a press release that the funeral prayers of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia will be held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban after Zohr tomorrow, Wednesday (December 31).

The convoy carrying the body of the deceased will travel from Evercare Hospital via 36 July Expressway, Kuril Flyover, Naval Headquarters, Firoza, Gulshan-2, Kamal Ataturk Avenue, Airport Road, Mohakhali Flyover, Jahangir Gate, Bijoy Sarani and Urojahaj Crossing, and will take a left turn to reach South Plaza through Gate No. 6 of the National Parliament Building.

Traffic will be restricted on the relevant roads during the journey of the convoy carrying the body. The DMP has sought the cooperation of the public in this regard.
