Transport leader Kafil Uddin passes away
Kafil Uddin, chairman of Hanif Enterprise and former chairman of Savar Upazila Parishad, has passed away. He was 66.
According to family sources, he had been suffering from liver cirrhosis and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in New Delhi, India. He breathed his last at 4:00 pm Bangladesh time on Sunday, May 31.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, a daughter, and numerous relatives and well-wishers.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep shock at his death. In a condolence message, he prayed for the forgiveness of the departed soul and extended sympathy to the bereaved family. Local BNP leaders and activists in Savar also issued separate condolence messages.
The Bangladesh Dealers, Distributors and Petrol Pump Owners Association also expressed deep grief and extended condolences to the family.
