Tribunal hears four audio clips of Sheikh Hasina’s instructions
The International Crimes Tribunal has heard four audio clips submitted as evidence in a case against Sheikh Hasina over alleged crimes against humanity during the July uprising.
Special Investigation Officer Tanvir Hasan Zoha testified Wednesday (September 24), submitting 69 recorded phone conversations and three seized mobile phones.
In the aired clips, Hasina is heard issuing instructions ranging from aerial attacks, use of lethal weapons, and mass arrests to threats of execution, arson, and cutting internet services.
The audio, played before Tribunal-1 led by Justice Golam Mortuza Mojumdar, was also broadcast live on national media.
Among the conversations presented were calls with former Dhaka South Mayor Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh, Jasad President Hasanul Haq Inu, and former Dhaka University VC ASM Maksud Kamal.
Apart from Sheikh Hasina, two other accused in the case are former Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal and ex-Inspector General of Police Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun.
