Prosecutor Hasanul Banna, a member of the prosecution team of the International Crimes Tribunal, has submitted his resignation, citing illness. Confirming the matter on Tuesday (August 19), Prosecutor Gazi MH Tamim said that Prosecutor Hasanul Banna has applied to the Chief Prosecutor to be relieved of his duties due to physical illness. The Chief Prosecutor has approved his application and sent it to the ministry. According to sources, he is suffering from jaundice. He was diagnosed with this complex disease after working in the office for a few days after his appointment. MH Tamim also said that he has been on leave since then. Hasanul Banna, a lawyer at Rajshahi Judge Court, was appointed as the ICT prosecutor on January 1.

অসুস্থতার কারণ দেখিয়ে পদত্যাগপত্র জমা দিয়েছেন আন্তর্জাতিক অপরাধ ট্রাইব্যুনালের প্রসিকিউশন টিমের সদস্য প্রসিকিউটর হাসানুল বান্না। মঙ্গলবার (১৯ আগস্ট) বিষয়টি ভিউজ বাংলাদেশকে নিশ্চিত করে প্রসিকিউটর গাজী এম এইচ তামিম বলেন, ‘শারীরিক অসুস্থতার কারণে প্রসিকিউটর হাসানুল বান্না চিফ প্রসিকিউটর বরাবর দায়িত্ব থেকে অব্যাহত চেয়ে আবেদন করেছেন। চিফ প্রসিকিউটর তার আবেদন মঞ্জুর করে মন্ত্রণালয়ে পাঠিয়েছেন। তিনি জন্ডিসে আক্রান্ত।’ তিনি জানান, নিয়োগের পর কয়েক দিন অফিস করার পরই হাসানুল বান্নার শরীরে এই জটিল রোগ ধরা পড়ে। এরপর থেকেই তিনি ছুটিতে ছিলেন বলেও জানান এম এইচ তামিম। এর আগে গত ১ জানুয়ারি প্রসিকিউটর হিসেবে নিয়োগ পান রাজশাহী জজ কোর্টের আইনজীবী হাসানুল বান্না।
