Tribunal to be reconstituted next week: Law Adviser
Law Adviser Dr Asif Nazrul said, "The International Criminal Tribunal will be reconstituted next week." He said, "Many judges of the Supreme Court worked as a supporting force of the fascist government. Students demanded their resignation. The Supreme Court has the opportunity to take action against these judges within the legal framework.
He said these while interacting with journalists after a meeting with the Chief Justice at the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
Dr. Asif Nazrul said, "If the tribunal is reconstituted, the trial of the mass murderers of July and August will begin." Tribunal chief prosecutor Tajul Islam along with 5 others have been appointed as the prosecution and 10 people including retired additional DIG of police Md. Mazharul Haque have been appointed. A judge has not yet been appointed. However, the International Criminal Tribunal will soon be restructured by appointing another judge along with the chairman.
