The government has postponed Tuesday's Higher Secondary School examination in the wake of the Bangladesh Air Force training fighter jet crash incident at the Milestone School and College campus in Uttara.
Information Adviser Md. Mahfuj Alam gave this information in a post on his Facebook page on Monday night.
He wrote that the decision to postpone the examination was made after discussing with Education Advisor C.R. Abrar.
Meanwhile, Local Government Adviser Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan also gave this information on social media Facebook.
However, when Education Adviser Professor C.R. Abrar was contacted, he could not be reached on the phone.
Earlier on Monday night, Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Examination Controller Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider told the media that no decision has been made to postpone Tuesday's HSC examination.
Earlier, students from several colleges demanded postponement of the exam in wake of the aircraft crash tragedy. They threatened to boycott the exam if the government doesn’t postpone it.
