Turkey expresses interest in Shahjalal Airport ground handling

Turkey has expressed interest in participating in the ground handling operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

Turkish Ambassador H.E. Ramis Sen conveyed this interest during a courtesy meeting with Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam at the Secretariat on Sunday, May 3. State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat was also present at the meeting.

During the meeting, the Turkish ambassador proposed cooperation in the airport's ground handling activities and expressed his country's interest in working in this sector in Bangladesh.

The minister and state minister welcomed Turkey's proposal. They said Bangladesh is keen to work closely with Turkey to further increase cooperation in sectors of mutual interest.

The discussion also focused on further strengthening existing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Turkey. Additionally, ways to utilise Turkey's experience and cooperation in the development of Bangladesh's tourism sector were discussed.

Both sides expressed their commitment to creating new areas of cooperation and deepening mutual relations in the future.
