Two additional secretaries promoted to secretary

The government has promoted two officials to the rank of secretary. The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications on Tuesday (July 28) promoting the two officials, who were holding the rank of additional secretary.

One of the promoted officials is Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan, who was serving as the acting secretary of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division with the rank of additional secretary. Notably, he had been holding the charge of acting secretary since May last year, when former secretary Kazi Anwar Hossain was attached to the Ministry of Public Administration. Following his promotion to full secretary, he has been retained in his previous posting at the ICT Division.

The other official promoted to secretary is Abu Sayeed Md Kamruzzaman, who was serving as Executive Director of the Barind Multipurpose Development Authority with the rank of additional secretary. Following his promotion, he has been given the charge of Chief Executive Officer (Secretary) of the Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority.
