Two soldiers killed, one injured in field firing trial in Chattogram

Two Bangladesh Army soldiers were killed and an officer seriously injured in an accident during a tank firing exercise at a field firing range in Hathazari of Chattogram, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The accident took place while a tank was conducting live-fire practice at the Hathazari Field Firing Range on Wednesday (September 9), according to an ISPR statement.

The two soldiers died in the incident, while the injured officer was being airlifted to the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka for advanced treatment.

The ISPR said necessary steps had been initiated to determine the cause of the accident.
