Two unexploded cocktails recovered from metro rail

Two unexploded cocktails have been recovered from the metro rail track near Kazipara Metro Station in the capital, by the bomb disposal team of the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit. The incident occurred around 11:30am on Friday November 21 in the Kafrul Police Station area.

According to the preliminary report of the bomb disposal unit, two cocktails had been thrown onto the track but did not explode. Responding to the incident, unit members quickly reached the scene, assessed the situation and safely removed the devices from the track.

The recovered cocktails were later taken to a safe location and defused. Evidence collected from the scene has been handed over to Kafrul Police Station for further legal procedures.
