UK keen on ground handling at Shahjalal's third terminal

The United Kingdom has expressed interest in the ground handling operations of the newly constructed third terminal at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. British High Commissioner Sarah Cook conveyed this interest during a meeting with Civil Aviation Minister Afroza Khanam Rita on Tuesday, March 24.

A ministry press release stated that the meeting emphasised further strengthening bilateral relations between Bangladesh and the UK, with detailed discussions particularly on cooperation in the civil aviation sector.

Minister Afroza Khanam Rita sought UK cooperation in developing the country's aviation sector. The British High Commissioner assured continued support and cooperation to the current government.

Sarah Cook said the UK is keen to stand by Bangladesh in achieving its goal of becoming a regional aviation hub.
