The Bangladesh Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan held a courtesy meeting with the United Nations Resident Coordinator (Acting) in Bangladesh Karol Flore-Smereznjak at the Air Force Headquarters in Dhaka on Sunday (June 7). The meeting was later confirmed in a press release issued by the Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR). During the meeting, both sides discussed a range of issues of mutual interest between Bangladesh and the United Nations, according to the statement. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, broader development priorities, peacekeeping operations, and other areas of shared interest, the ISPR added.

বাংলাদেশ বিমানবাহিনী প্রধান এয়ার চিফ মার্শাল হাসান মাহমুদ খাঁন-এর সঙ্গে সৌজন্য সাক্ষাৎ করেছেন বাংলাদেশে নিযুক্ত জাতিসংঘের আবাসিক সমন্বয়কারী (অন্তর্বর্তীকালীন) ক্যারল ফ্লোর-স্মেরেঝনিয়াক। রোববার (৭ জুন) বিমানবাহিনী সদর দপ্তরে এ সাক্ষাৎ অনুষ্ঠিত হয় বলে পরে আন্তঃবাহিনী জনসংযোগ পরিদপ্তর (আইএসপিআর) এক সংবাদ বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে জানায়। সাক্ষাৎকালে বাংলাদেশ ও জাতিসংঘের পারস্পরিক স্বার্থসংশ্লিষ্ট বিভিন্ন বিষয় নিয়ে ফলপ্রসূ ও গঠনমূলক আলোচনা হয় বলে বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে উল্লেখ করা হয়। এ সময় দ্বিপক্ষীয় সহযোগিতা জোরদার, সার্বিক উন্নয়ন অগ্রগতি, শান্তিরক্ষা কার্যক্রম এবং অভিন্ন স্বার্থসংশ্লিষ্ট বিভিন্ন বিষয়ে মতবিনিময় করেন তারা।
