Unregistered kindergartens to be shut down: State Minister for Education
All unregistered kindergarten schools in the country that fail to obtain registration within the stipulated time will be closed by 2028, State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj has said. He made the remarks while speaking to journalists after a day-long workshop on ‘Transformation of Primary Education and Action Plan’ at the PTI Conference Hall in Chattogram on Wednesday afternoon.
The state minister said the government is taking various steps to improve the quality of primary education. As part of this, unregistered kindergartens will be brought under regulations. All kindergarten schools in the country that do not obtain registration within the fixed deadline will be shut down by 2028.
He added that the educational environment, infrastructure and academic activities of private primary schools will also be brought under government supervision. At the same time, work is underway to formulate new policies for primary school teachers.
Bobby Hajjaj said the new policies will place importance on teachers’ sense of responsibility, working environment and accountability to ensure the qualitative standard of primary education.
