US ambassador visits Liberation War Museum, July Uprising Museum

US Ambassador to Dhaka Brent Christensen visited the Liberation War Museum in Agargaon and the July Uprising Museum at Ganabhaban in the capital on Tuesday, March 24.

The US ambassador, accompanied by his wife Diane Dow, paid tribute to the martyrs by placing flowers at the museum's 'Shikha Chirantan' (Eternal Flame).

During his visit to the Liberation War Museum, he paid respects to the martyrs of the 1971 Liberation War. Liberation War Museum Trustee Mofidul Haque was present on the occasion.

During the visit, the ambassador toured various galleries of the museum and learned about Bangladesh's independence struggle.

The US embassy said in a statement that the ambassador made this visit out of interest to learn more deeply about Bangladesh's history and struggle for independence. Additionally, the US government's 'Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation' has played a significant role in preserving the heritage of the 1971 Liberation War at the Liberation War Museum.
