US to provide 2.19 crore measles-rubella vaccines for children in Bangladesh
The United States will provide more than 2.19 crore emergency measles-rubella vaccines for children in Bangladesh. The US embassy in Dhaka confirmed the information on Wednesday, April 15.
The embassy said the US is supporting the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh through UNICEF in this programme. Approximately 1.20 crore children under the age of five will be brought under protection through the vaccines supplied under this initiative.
The US embassy further said this initiative has been taken as part of the America First Global Health Strategy.
