Vandalising shrines, burning of bodies contradict prophet’s moral: Rizvi
BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has condemned attacks on shrines and the burning of bodies, saying such actions contradict the teachings or Morals of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
He made the remarks on Saturday (September 6) during a Milad and Doa Mahfil held at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan on the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi.
Rizvi said that instead of following the Prophet’s message of unity and justice, society is increasingly divided by sectarian differences and violence. “If we had even partially followed his ideals, injustice, evil, violence, and bloodshed could have been prevented in our country,” he said.
He added that the Prophet’s life exemplified unity, moral integrity, and service to humanity, and criticized contemporary Muslims for failing to imitate him.
BNP Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokon, Advocate Abdus Salam Azad, and central leader Mir Sharafat Ali Shafu also attended the event. The prayer was led by Maulana Selim Reza, convener of the Ulama Party.
