Victory hinges on public support and trust: Fakhrul

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has stated that the upcoming election will be fully fair, adding that winning the election will require earning the support and trust of the people.

Fakhrul made the remarks at the inauguration of the fifth day of the BNP programme titled “BNP’s Plan for Nation Building” held at the Krishibid Institution Auditorium in the capital's Khamarbari on Thursday (December 11).

He said the 13th national parliamentary election offers BNP an opportunity to form a representative parliament and urged party activists to prepare for a tough contest. “This election will be the most challenging, and success will come from advancing despite obstacles,” he added.

Fakhrul also dismissed claims by a new political alliance portraying BNP as anti-reform, asserting that all significant reforms and positive developments in the country have been made with BNP’s contribution.
