Voting ongoing at TSC Centre; DU urges all to ignore rumors
Voting is currently ongoing at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) for the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and Hall Union elections. The university administration has urged all candidates and voters not to be misled by rumors regarding any suspension of the voting process.
In a statement issued on Tuesday by Mohammad Rafiqul Islam, Acting Director of the university’s Public Relations Office, the administration clarified that voting is proceeding smoothly and without interruption.
Meanwhile, at the Udayan Higher Secondary School polling center—housing 110 booths—approximately 35 percent of votes were cast between 8:00 AM and 11:00 am, according to Returning Officer Tariq Manzur.
Similarly, 35 percent voter turnout was also recorded at the TSC center during the same period. Female students of Begum Rokeya Hall are casting their votes at this location. The update was provided by Center Chief Professor Nasrin Sultana at 11:15 am.
The university continues to monitor the voting process closely and urges all parties to remain calm and cooperative throughout the day.
