Who authorised Jaber to become plaintiff in Hadi murder case, asks sister
The sister of Sharif Osman Bin Hadi has questioned how Abdullah Al Jaber, member secretary of Inkilab Mancha, became the plaintiff in her brother's murder case without informing the family.
In a Facebook post on Friday, June 5, Masuma Hadi said she had initially wanted to stay silent, but was forced to clarify her position amid discussions and criticism over who filed the case.
She claimed that after hearing her brother had been shot, she rushed to the hospital and family members were involved in his treatment throughout. Her question is: how was Jaber allowed to sign the case documents while family members were present?
In a criminal case, there was scope to complete the necessary legal procedures regarding the plaintiff's signature later, she said. Even police could have taken suo motu action. In that case, it would be necessary to explain why Jaber became the plaintiff without consulting the family.
She also said that close acquaintances are aware of her role in Osman Hadi's life. Therefore, she is surprised that the plaintiff was determined without consulting the family.
In the post, Masuma Hadi also responded to comments and criticism on social media regarding the victim's brother, Omar Faruk. She claimed that family members took personal initiatives for treatment, and later the government also assisted in medical management.
She also called for an end to "false and misleading propaganda" about the victim's family.
