Who will accompany Khaleda Zia to London?

BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia may be flown to London for advanced medical treatment either at midnight tonight or on Friday morning, confirmed her personal physician AZM Zahid Hossain.

Ahead of the transfer, the BNP has finalised a list of 14 people who will accompany her.

The list, signed by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, includes a total of 15 individuals including Khaleda Zia herself.

According to the list released on Thursday (December 4), her entourage includes family members, personal physicians, security personnel and domestic aides.

Her daughter-in-law, Syeda Sharmila Rahman, will accompany her, along with Md. Abdul Hai Mallik, assistant to the party’s acting chairman, and Md. Masudur Rahman, assistant personal secretary to the Chairperson.

Several physicians will travel to provide continuous medical support. They are:
Dr. Abu Jafar Md. Zahid Hossain, Dr. Mohammad Anamul Haque Chowdhury, Dr. Fakhruddin Mohammad Siddiqui, Dr. Shahabuddin Talukder, Dr. Nur Uddin Ahmed, Dr. Zafar Iqbal and Dr. Mohammad Al Mamun.

For security, two members of the Special Security Force (SSF)—Hasan Shahriar Iqbal and Syed Shamin Mahfuz—will be part of the team.

Domestic aides Fatema Begum and Rupa Shikdar have also been included.

Qatar has already granted official approval to send an air ambulance, and all preparations are in place for Khaleda Zia’s transfer to London.
