The deceased was identified as Md. Rakib, 26, hailed from Bangabari Union under Gomostapur Upazila of Chapainawabganj.

The incident took place around 5.00pm, when he fell from the eighth floor of the university's fourth-grade staff quarters building on Friday (October 31).

According to university sources, Rakib lost his balance after hitting a wall while descending from the eighth floor of the building with a bag of garbage.
