Worshippers at Baitul Mukarram hold special munajat for nation’s welfare

The Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka took place successfully on Saturday (March 21) at 8:00am under the leadership of Pesh Imam Mufti Muhib Ullah Baqi Nadvi.

A special munajat was offered after the prayers, seeking forgiveness and blessings, as well as peace, progress, and well-being for the country and its people.

Earlier, the first jamaat was held at 7:00am, led by Senior Pesh Imam Mawlana Mizanur Rahman. Thousands of devotees attended both the first and second congregations.

During the munajat, prayers were also offered for the acceptance of fasting and other acts of worship performed during Ramadan, and for the eternal peace of deceased relatives.

Many worshippers were seen in tears, seeking forgiveness for their sins, while prayers were also offered for the safety and well-being of oppressed Muslims around the world.

According to authorities, three more Eid congregations will be held at the national mosque. The third jamaat is scheduled for 9:00am, the fourth at 10:00am, and the fifth and final jamaat at 10:45am.

The third jamaat will be led by Islamic Foundation Deputy Director Mawlana Md. Zakir Hossain, the fourth by Imam Training Academy instructor Mawlana Zobayer Ahmed Al Azhari, and the fifth by Islamic Foundation Mufti Mawlana Mohammad Abdullah.

Assistant Librarian Mawlana Shahidul Islam will remain on standby as an alternate imam.
