A sudden attack by a young man inside Pallabi Police Station in the capital left OC Nazrul Islam and two other police officers injured. Police have arrested four people, including the attacker.

The incident occurred in the duty officer's room at Pallabi Police Station around 1:45 am on Monday night (March 10).

"The injured are Pallabi Police Station OC Nazrul Islam, Second Officer Shariful Islam, and ASI (Armed) Md Nasir. The attacker, Abdur Razzak Fahim, is reportedly from Gazipur."

Confirming the incident, OC Nazrul Islam said that around 1:45 AM, a young man named Abdur Razzak Fahim came to the police station and claimed that a murder had taken place in the area. When I said I was unaware of such an incident, he questioned, "Why are you hiding it? Your duty officer knows." I then took him to the duty officer's room, where other visitors also stated that they had no knowledge of any such incident.

The OC said that when he asked the young man for his identity, he refused to reveal it. "When I tried to take him by the hand, he suddenly started punching me. ASI Nasir intervened to stop him, but the attacker broke one of his fingers. He also punched the Second Officer on the forehead. We then managed to detain him," the OC stated.
After his arrest, the young man claimed three others were waiting outside in a vehicle. Upon questioning, they said they had come from Gazipur and were out for a night drive. The police later brought all three of them to the station.

He added that the three injured officers were sent to Kurmitola Hospital after the incident. Preparations are underway to file a case regarding the matter.
