Zaima joins mother Zubaida Rahman in paying tribute to grandfather's graveyard
Dr. Zubaida Rahman on Thursday (August 6) paid tribute to her late father, Rear Admiral (Retd.) Mahbub Ali Khan, marking the 42nd anniversary of his death, by visiting his grave at the Banani Military Cemetery.
Accompanied by her daughter, Barrister Zaima Rahman, she laid floral wreaths at the grave and offered prayers in memory of the former naval chief and cabinet minister.
A special dua and munajat seeking eternal peace for the departed soul was held following the tribute, attended by family members, close relatives and well-wishers.
Rear Admiral (Retd.) Mahbub Ali Khan served as Chief of the Bangladesh Navy and later held the portfolios of communications and agriculture minister. He is remembered for his contributions to both the country's armed forces and public administration.
His family and admirers observe his death anniversary each year through religious observances and commemorative programmes.
